Imagine an original mural in your very own studio apartment!

The Rey's Cultural Hub, in partnership with VISUAL urban contemporary art, features five local artists commissioned to create murals in five of The Rey's studio units.

Start the evening off with drinks in the lobby and continue the evening with a guided tour of the Rey's five commissioned murals alongside the artists and local San Diego DJs! End the evening off listening to more music at the Rey's beautiful Sky Deck and have another drink with the artists!

Meet and Greet - Sky Deck

Nicholas McPherson

Artist and illustrator Nicholas McPherson was raised in Texas and is currently living and working in Southern California. His work includes branding, illustration, murals, and any general creative thinking.

Brisk

Brisk is one of San Diego’s most notable and prolific graffiti artists. Brisk is known for his wild style graffiti and contemporary abstract paintings. He has exhibited at Miami Art Basel, Pow Wow Hawaii and most recently finished a mural project in Beijing.

Jason Gould

Jason Gould studied at Herron School of Art and received his Master of Fine Arts at California State University at Fullerton. Since the early 1990's Jason has painted in an abstract style and continues to combine contemporary fine art and urban art.

KG1

KG1 is an artist duo who creates and combines urban abstractions with clean stencil work of contemporary imagery focusing on urban lifestyle and fashion.

kurznachzehn

kurznachzehn is originally from Germany and moved to San Diego in 2016. She started to cut stencils and create street art in 2011. In the beginning she used old photographs from her family as a template to cut her stencil. The stencils are created in multiple layers, spray painted onto a paper surface and pasted into the urban landscape.
